Description of OSBoosterâ„¢

Introduction

OSBooster works by altering the way your Macintosh starts up. Working with your favourite extensions manger, OSBooster loads just those extensions needed to run your Macintosh and your chosen application. OSBooster then ensures that your application launches with as much system memory as possible with no other tasks competing for the processor's time.

If you have ever used a Macintosh with a system version earlier than System 7, you may recall that you had the option of running a version of the Finder that did not allow more than one application to run at a time. When you launched an application, the Finder quit and the application had most of the system's resources to itself. This is something like the way OSBooster works.
